The Santiago vineyards may be visited at any time of the year, due to the Mediterranean-type climate of the central valleys, including that of Santiago, with an average annual temperature of around 14° Celsius.

The best seasons to visit the area are in springtime, that is from September through November, or during the fall harvest, from February through April.

In March and April the attractions multiply, as the "Fiesta de la Vendimia" (Grape Harvest Festival) takes place, during which wine sampling sessions form part of the festivities.
