In Santiago, the capital of Chile, one can board buses for Viña del Mar in the Alameda terminus, on the avenue by the same name. They leave every 15 minutes and the cost of the ticket is 2,500 pesos (3 to 4 dollars).

The bus trip lasts an hour and a half approximately. The road is a splendid one offering pleasant views of mountains and vineyards.

To travel from Valparaiso to Viña del Mar, a distance of 9 kilometers, one can choose the train. Trains leave every 15 minutes, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The station in Viña del Mar is located on Francisco Vergara street.
