National Natural History Museum

Description: it contains valuable anthropological, botanical, entomological, geological, hydro-biological, taxidermy and zoological specimens, as well as exhibits of Chile's native plants and mineral ores.
Timetable: Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.; Sundays and holidays from noon to 5.30 p.m. (April through August) and from 11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. (September through March). The museum will be closed on January 1, Holy Friday, May 1, September 18 and 19, November 1 and December 25.

Cathedral Museum

Description: on display in its three halls: the Sacristy, the Chapter House and the Library, you will find valuable religious imagery as well as valuable manuscripts and other works of the 16th - 18th centuries.

Description: this house was home to Chile's literary Nobel Prize Laureate, poet Pablo Neruda. Within one may peruse original manuscripts by the Chilean bard, as well as items collected by him over the years and the canvases he received as gifts from painters Siqueiros and Rivera.
