DAY 01: PUCON: Excursion Conguillio National Park
120 km from Temuco (Lautaro – Curacautin Road) is located the Conguillio National Park. With 60.833 hectares where nature is still modeling the landscape. Its deep valleys and steep slopes covered with araucarias show large scars caused by the lava flows of the Llaima Volcano (3.125 meters) that rises in the center and Lake Conguillio, whose waters freeze in severe winters. Divided into Los Paraguas and Conguillio Sectors, the park is ideal for hiking, bird-watching, fishing or simply enjoying the landscape and the lakes. Among the fauna inhabiting the park we have mountain monkeys, vizcachas, black woodpeckers, condors, red tailed ospreys and aquatic birds, among others. We will go on a 2-hour hike approximately within the park.
