Tour Description
DAY 01: PUERTO MONTT / PUERTO VARAS
Reception at the airport in Puerto Montt and transfer to your hotel in Puerto Varas.

DAY 02: PUERTO VARAS: City tour in Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas
Breakfast. We set off to go on a tour to Puerto Montt, Regional Capital of the X Region, located in a protected bay of the Pacific Ocean; we will visit its Plaza de Armas (Main Square), Cathedral, its Monument to Colonization, vantage points and residential neighborhoods, appreciating its architectonic heritage and mixture of races. Besides, we will visit the traditional Angelmo Market offering seafood and craftsmanship in a relaxed mood. We will continue towards the beautiful City of Puerto Varas or “City of the Roses”, located at the side of Lake Llanquihue, with an awesome view of the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. On the way we will take pleasure admiring its German style architecture, its traditional church, the vantage point of Mount Philippi, residential neighborhoods, the plaza, the casino, Puerto Chico and stands selling handicraft. The city tour includes a short walk across the city center.

DAY 03: PUERTO VARAS: Navigation Lake of Todos Los Santos, Peulla
You can not leave the Region of the Lakes without having navigated the wonderful Lake of Todos Los Santos, visited the world renowned Petrohué Falls and known Peulla, a small ecological village of 150 inhabitants, which is part of the famous tourist circuit called Crossing of the Lakes. Once we have visited the Petrohué Falls we will embark on the catamaran "Lagos Andinos" to sail for close to two hours across Lake Todos Los Santos, watching the Osorno, Puntiagudo and Tronador Volcanoes. Arrival in Peulla, lunch not included. Time off in Peulla where you can take optional excursions of nature or adventure tourism, or tour around the village and its paths by yourself. In the afternoon return navigating and then in a vehicle up to your hotel.

DAY 04: PUERTO VARAS: Transfer to the airport
Breakfast. In due time transfer to the airport or connection with other programs in the zone.

WEATHER
The zone of Puerto Montt has a lukewarm and rainy weather with annual average temperatures of about 11º C, with precipitations during the whole year, although concentrated in the winter, in the months from June through August; average rainfalls in the zone are close to 1500 mm and in the mountains they are more abundant and with snowfalls in the winter. The months between November and March are the sunniest with nice temperatures that can reach up to 30 ºC.
WHAT TO PACK
Have always something at hand for the rain, polar, comfortable hiking shoes, sun cap, shades and sunscreen; bathing suit, sandals and a small backpack for your daily excursions.
WATER
There is fresh water in almost the entire territory, although it is advisable to drink bottled water in rural areas and if you are not used to tap water.
HEALTH
In Puerto Montt you will find magnificently equipped hospitals and clinics with emergency service 24 hours a day.
CHILEAN GASTRONOMY
Chilean cuisine is very diverse. Among its typical dishes we have: Empanada de Pino (dough stuffed with onion, meat, raisins and olives), Pastel de Choclo (made mainly of corn with meat, eggs and olives), Porotos Granados (tender potatoes cooked with gourd and corn), Cazuela de Ave o Vacuno (clear soup of chicken or beef with boiled vegetables), besides those typical of each region.
Lastly, you can not fail to taste the exquisite Mote con Huesillos, a dessert elaborated from a boiled fruit and mote wheat.
