Tour Description
DAY 01: PUNTA ARENAS - PUERTO NATALES
Reception at the airport, transfer to the bus terminal to take a regular bus bound for Puerto Natales. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 02: PUERTO NATALES: Navigation Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers
Breakfast. Early departure from Puerto Natales to take a vessel and navigate the Sound of Last Hope. During the tour it is possible to watch an environment surrounded by mountains and forests, sea lions frisking on the rocks, and in the sector called "Colony of Cormorants" you will be able to appreciate these huge birds, the biggest in Chile.
The vessel approaches the Balmaceda Glacier and then stops at the Serrano, where we will come ashore for a walk through the forest up to the shore of the lagoon and its floating icebergs. It is common to see huge chunks of ice cracking and plunging into the waters of the fiord. Lunch at the lodge. Return navigating to Puerto Natales
DAY 03: PUERTO NATALES: Excursion Torres del Paine National Park
Breakfast. Early departure from the hotel starting with a visit to the Cave of the Milodon, a natural monument composed by three caves (the largest being 150 m high) and a rocky conglomerate called La Silla del Diablo; a great number of remains from the primitive inhabitants of this zone can be found in this place, along with bones of prehistoric animals; you can visit the small field museum. Continuing the tour we will border Lakes Sarmiento, Nordenskjöld and Pehoé, always with the imposing presence of the mountain massif of Torres del Paine and with a varied fauna where the characteristic herds of Guanacos stand out. We will tour the park’s vantage points and waterfalls, where amazing and varied views will wonder us at every stage. Through an inner route we arrive in Lake Grey, where we will appreciate the homonymous glacier, which is one of the largest in the sector and constitutes the end of Campo de Hielo Sur. Lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon return to Puerto Natales.

DAY 04: PUERTO NATALES: Departing transfer.
Breakfast. Transfer to the bus terminal to take a bus bound for the airport or the City of Punta Arenas.

WEATHER
The Chilean Patagonia has cold steppe weather, similar to that of all the populated centers of this region. The annual average temperature in the summer is of 10.6º C and of 2.0º C in the winter. The annual average precipitation is of 425 mm, being January the rainiest month though the warmest as well.
WHAT TO PACK
It is advisable to pack jackets and impermeable pants, thermal t-shirts, windbreaker polar jacket, cap with ear protection, gloves and thermal socks, short pants, sandals, shades with UV protection, sunscreen (minimum factor 30) for face and lips, repellent, sun cap, impermeable footwear for hikes (use them before traveling if new), among other warming clothes.
WATER
There is fresh water in almost the entire territory, although it is advisable to drink bottled water in rural areas and if you are not used to tap water.
HEALTH
Puerto Natales has a varied range of hospitals and clinics, all very well equipped in case of any emergency.
CHILEAN GASTRONOMY
Chilean cuisine is very diverse. Among its typical dishes we have: Empanada de Pino (dough stuffed with onion, meat, raisins and olives), Pastel de Choclo (made mainly of corn with meat, eggs and olives), Porotos Granados (tender potatoes cooked with gourd and corn), Cazuela de Ave o Vacuno (clear soup of chicken or beef with boiled vegetables), besides those typical of each region.
Lastly, you can not fail to taste the exquisite Mote con Huesillos, a dessert elaborated from a boiled fruit and mote wheat.
