Tour to Pucón, Ojos del Caburgua, Thermal Baths of Huife
Pucón is a small and picturesque resort town located beside Lake Villarrica and at the foot of the homonymous volcano. Surrounded by national parks, volcanoes, mountains and thermal baths, all a few kilometers away from the city, it also has beaches on the warm waters of the lake and a varied nightlife, which turn it into a perfect place to rest and enjoy fun tours to the nearby parks and thermal baths.
DAY 01: TEMUCO - PUCÓN
Reception at the airport of Temuco and transfer to your hotel in Pucón, located at 112 km from Temuco on the slopes of the Andean Cordillera, at the side of the Lake and Volcano of Villarrica.

DAY 02: PUCÓN: City tour in Pucón
A great opportunity to know the secrets of this mighty city by the Lake Villarrica, nowadays turned into the most important tourist attraction center in the region, with very active commerce and a diverse gastronomic offer. We start at Playa Grande, La Poza, a port of motorboats from where we can watch the peninsula, the beautiful wooden flowers, the main streets and lastly the suspension Quelhue Bridge, from where the Trancura River and the Villarrica Volcano can be appreciated, along with the Lanin Volcano on sunny days.
Return to your hotel at noon. Afternoon off to rest, visit the thermal baths or go on an optional tour.

DAY 03: PUCÓN: Lake Caburgua and Thermal Baths of Huife
Breakfast. Visit to the beautiful Ojos del Caburgua, waterfalls and ponds nourished by subterranean waters coming from Lake Caburgua. Visit to Lake Caburgua, beach and pier; then we will go inland to the mountain range of the Araucania Region, privileged due to the presence of volcanoes, which have given birth to a great number of thermal springs that bounce from deep under the earth surrounded by exuberant vegetation. The Thermal Baths of Huife are located 33 km east of Pucón on the banks of the Liucura River. It has three huge external pools with thermal waters and individual baths whose waters have a temperature of between 38° and 58° C, rich in minerals. Lymphatic, relaxation and reflexology massages stand out among its services. It remains open all year long. It is occasionally covered in snow during the winter.
Optional lunch in Huife. Return to your hotel.

WEATHER
Pucón has a mild weather with winter downpours and a short relatively dry season in the summer months (December to March). The annual precipitations are above 2000 mm, while the thermal regime registers an oscillation of 5.0° C with an annual average temperature of almost 12.0° C, an average temperature of 8.0° C in the coldest month (July) and a temperature of 15° C in the warmest month (February).
WHAT TO PACK
Consider the chance of rainfalls during the entire year, therefore pack impermeable clothes, water resistant footwear for the excursions, warming clothes, polar, gloves, bathing suit both for the winter and the summer, sandals for the thermal baths, sun cap, sunscreen and shades.
WATER
There is fresh water in almost the entire territory, although it is advisable to drink bottled water in rural areas and if you are not used to tap water.
HEALTH
In Pucón and Villarrica you will find hospitals and private clinics, as well as fully stocked pharmacies.
CHILEAN GASTRONOMY
Chilean cuisine is very diverse. Among its typical dishes we have: Empanada de Pino (dough stuffed with onion, meat, raisins and olives), Pastel de Choclo (made mainly of corn with meat, eggs and olives), Porotos Granados (tender potatoes cooked with gourd and corn), Cazuela de Ave o Vacuno (clear soup of chicken or beef with boiled vegetables), besides those typical of each region.
Lastly, you can not fail to taste the exquisite Mote con Huesillos, a dessert elaborated from a boiled fruit and mote wheat
In the region of Pucón, the German kuchenes are a classic produce of the German colonization of the zone, along with the cecinas (salty meat smoked or sun dried), sausages and they marzipan.
