DAY 01: PUNTA ARENAS - PUERTO NATALES

Reception at airport, transfer to bus station to take regular bus to Puerto Natales. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 02: PUERTO NATALES: Navigation Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers

Breakfast. Early departure from Puerto Natales to take a ship and navigate Seno de Ultima Esperanza. During the tour it is possible to see an environment surrounded by mountains and forests, sea lions frisking on the rocks, and in the sector called "Colony of Cormorants" you will be able to appreciate these huge birds, the biggest in Chile.
The ship approaches Balmaceda Glacier and then stops at Serrano glacier, where we will come ashore for a walk through the forest up to the shore of the lagoon and its floating icebergs. It is common to see huge chunks of ice cracking and plunging into the waters of the fiord. Lunch at the lodge. Return to Puerto Natales
DAY 03: PUERTO NATALES- TORRES DEL PAINE: Excursion to the Parque Nacional Torres del Paine National Park

You will be pick up from your Hotel at approximately 07:45 in the morning to start your tour to the Torres del Paine National Park. Our first stop will be at the place called Cueva del Milodón (Milodón Cave), A Chilean Natural Monument where a large amount of artifacts and other remains of the primitive inhabitants of the area have been found, as well as bones of pre Historic animals. You will find a collection of these things in the small Site Museum found there.
Then we will make a short stop in Cerro Castillo where the passengers can use the installations of the local coffee shop in this village. We will arrive to

Parque Nacional Torres del Paine (Torres del Paine National Park)
through the sector called Laguna Amarga where we will have a panoramic view of the Torres del Paine. We will continue on the road and be able to observe the uncountable beautiful views offered by the Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, such as Lago Nordenskjold and Lago Pehoé then Cascada Salto Grande ( the visit to this part will take approximately 45 minutes and will only be carried out if the weather conditions allow it.
We will also visit Río Paine and Río Grey. We will stop over for lunch at Hostería Lago Grey or similar. Then we will continue towards Lago Grey where we will take an excursion of approximately an hour and a half to take a look at the Grey Glacier and the imposing icebergs in the lake. Transfer to your hotel in the Park.

DAY 04: TORRES DEL PAINE: Optional Excursions

Breakfast. Optional Excursions from your Hotel. The Park offers a big variety of excursions to visit in the park, from easy tours, with short walks to different view points, navigation to the different glaciers, trekking and horseback riding to the foot hills of its impressive mountains.

DAY 05: PUERTO NATALES - PUNTA ARENAS: Navigation Reserve of The Penguins on Magdalena Island (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) *** AVAILABLE FROM DECEMBER TO FEBRUARY FOR PENGUINS AND BIRDS MIGRATION ***
Breakfast. Transfer to Punta Arenas, in the afternoon arrival to your hotel.

In the afternoon, transfer from your hotel to the port. Navigation to Magdalena Island, which along with Marta Island conform this natural monument called The Penguins, natural habitat to more than 120.000 Magellanic penguins and one of the largest penguin nesting places in southern Chile, paradise for birdwatchers.
Arrival to the island, it is a spectacular scneray. It is a two-hour navigation across the Estrecho de Magallanes (Magellan strait) where you can see spectacular panoramic views of Punta Arenas city, the plains of Tierra del Fuego and the oil fields of Cabo Negro or Laredo Bay. All this to arrive in this place 35 km away from Punta Arenas city and deep into the proper strait. Once there, the scenery is even more beautiful, where penguins, cormorants and sea lions, among others, are the main players. For an hour you will be able to watch thousands of penguins and their nesting places going through paths running from the coast up to the top of the island, where there is a lighthouse along with the (centro de Interpretación Ambiental) Environmental Interpretation center with the history of the strait and the fauna of this place.

DAY 06: PUNTA ARENAS: City tour in Punta Arenas

During the morning half day tour in the city. Punta Arenas was the first permanent civilized human settlement in the Austral Patagonia; history is revived at each of its street corners, remembering the adventures and experiences of its pioneers, those who brought it to life on December the 18th of 1848 as an incipient colony and in just a few years turned it into the most important cultural, industrial, commercial and livestock center in the zone.
The tour takes us through well designed avenues and squares and some of the city’s 30 monuments, including a fascinating visit to the Salesian Museum Maggiorino Borgatello, where we can appreciate its magnificent collections of Magellanean flora and fauna specimens, and exclusive craftsmanship and folklore relics from the people who inhabited the zone, such as Yaganes, Onas and Alacalufes. Panoramic views of the city and Estrecho de Magallanes appear as a backdrop, making of this tour one of the most thorough in Punta Arenas city.
