Tour Description

DAY 01: Punta Arenas: Embarking (Weighing Anchor on Saturdays or Wednesdays)
Punta Arenas Check in between 13:00-17:00 hours in 990 Magallanes, Punta Arenas; 18:00-19:00 hours, embarking on the Cruises. You will be welcomed on board by the ship’s crew headed by the Captain. Cocktail toast with your future cruise companions. The ship will set to sea bound to the end of the world right after. You will tour the Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego going through the mythical Strait of Magellan. It is the beginning of a Great Adventure.

DAY 02: Ainsworth Bay – Tucker Island
Bahía Ainsworth The navigation will continue through the Admiralty Sound with the first morning light, until reaching the surroundings of the Marinelli Glacier in Ainsworth Bay, where we will set foot for a hike to visit a beaver dam and the wonderful Magellanian forest surrounding it. We will watch a colony of Sea Elephants at the beach as well. Continuing sailing we will visit Tucker Island, where we will watch colonies of Magellanian Penguins and Cormorants onboard Zodiacs.

DAY 03: Pia Glacier – Glacier Avenue
Beagle Channel We will navigate through the main sound of the Beagle Channel to get into the Pia Fiord and disembark near the homonymous glacier. We will set off on an excursion toward a vantage point that offers excellent views of the mountain range where the glacier is originated, as well as of its entire length up to where it drops into the sea. After this unforgettable experience we will sail again across the northwestern sound of the Beagle Channel, in order to appreciate the majestic Glacier Avenue: Spain, Romansh, Germany, Italy, France and Holland.

DAY 04: Cape Horns and Wulaia Bay
Cape Horns Sailing through the Beagle Channel and the Murray Channel to set foot on Cape Horn National Park. Cape Horn, an almost vertical promontory 425 meters high, and the place where the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans embrace one another. It was discovered in 1616 by a Dutch commercial expedition arranged by Isaac Le Maire.
The Cape owes its name to Port Hoorn, the place from where the expedition had departed.
Later we will disembark on Wulaia Bay, a historical place that used to be one of the largest indigenous settlements in the region. This place offers, in addition, a visual spectacle of great beauty by its vegetation and geography. We will arrive until a viewpoint, walking through the Magellan forest where we will find southern beech, the so called coihues, cinnamon and ferns, among others species.

DAY 05: Ushuaia
Arrival in Ushuaia, the most important Argentinean city in Tierra del Fuego and the southernmost in the world. Onshore at 08:00 hrs. to get to know the city, visit national parks and then continue your trip through the Patagonia.
