This Tour combines the best of Chile's archaeology with a charming, historical and cultural vision of the Capital City, along with a visit to the City of Valparaiso, recently named Cultural Patrimony of Humanity. We visit San Pedro de Atacama in Northern Chile, located in the midst of the Atacama Desert and with a rich pre-Hispanic indigenous history. Archaeology combines with the natural deserted setting, as the indigenous towns do with the pre-Hispanic remains. We fly to Easter Island on the way back to Santiago; an Island located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that keeps the secrets of the Rapa Nui Culture and their mysterious Moais, huge sculptures of stone unique amongst the Polynesian cultures due to their sheer size. Rapa Nui Culture remains alive as does their history, reflected in the archaeological sites scattered all over the Island.
