The Double Valle Rooms have a View over the Lake
The Double Lago Rooms have a fabulous View over the famous Inca Lake – Laguna del Inca, the Three Brothers - Tres Hermanos Hill and the Ski Runs.
The Double Lago 6th Floor are more spacious and have Balconies over looking the Inca Lake - Laguna del Inca.
In all Double Rooms, to qualify for Youngsters’ or Childrens’ Rate, these must be accompanied by one adult in the same room.
The Family Departments have two Rooms; They are for a minimum of 4 persons and a maximum of 6 persons. Youngsters and Children from 4 to 17 Years in a Family Department pay Youngsters´or Childrens´Prices. Adults pay Family Department Prices. At least 2 persons per room must pay the Family Department Adult Price and at least 4 people must pay full prices.
Rooms in the Octagonal Lodge have four bunk beds and Private Bath. Octagonal Lodge Guests take their meals in the Main Dining Room of the Hotel.
Rooms in the Inca Lodge have 4 bunk beds with a common bathroom. Inca Lodge guests take their meals in the Self Service restaurant and enjoy all the hotel privileges, with the exception of organised events such as the Wine Tasting Weeks or Semanas del Vino.
Children (4-11 Years) and Youngsters (12-17 Years) in supplementary beds pay prices corresponding to Childrens’ and Youngsters Prices. Children below 4 years incur no charge if accompanied by an adult. Only one supplementary bed is allowed per room. At the moment of your check you will be asked to present official documents showing birth dates of Children and Youngsters.
The Hotel has supplementary beds for adults. If necessary, please ask for quote. For your comfort the hotel does not recommend the use of supplementary rooms for adults.

Useful Information
WEATHER:
Portillo is located at an altitude of 3000 metres above sea level, in the midst of the Andean Cordillera. That is why its mountain weather is unpredictable and with sudden changes. Normally there is snow from May to October. It is dry and hot during the southern hemisphere's summer, with maximum temperatures of up to 30 degrees Celsius. Before travelling, consult about the weather and road conditions.
WAYS OF ACCESS:
From Santiago , by the International Route to Mendoza 149 Km. A paved road that is well kept up in winter to allow for the traffic to flow unhindered.
As an option, private transfers from the Santiago Airport or your Santiago hotel can be arranged as an addition to your programme. Travel time is a bout two hours. We have special vehicles that will allow you to reach all ski sites with special luggage racks and fully equipped for winter conditions.
ROAD TIMETABLE:
There is no timetable, but ask before leaving for the road might be closed due to heavy snowfalls.
TRANSPORT TO THE SKI RESORT:
There is no regular transportation service.
WHAT TO PACK UP:
Ski clothes for different climatic conditions, considering there may be sunny days with high temperatures as well as misty and cold days with temperatures below minus 10° Celsius. Inside the hotel you can wear casual clothes or something rather elegant for a night at the discotheque or a private party. Bathing suite. The power output in Chile is of 220 volts so you may need an adaptor for your household appliances. There is no pharmacy nor supplies in the area, therefore you must bring with you all you may need regarding medicine, film, etc.
WATER:
The water is potable but we recommend you to drink bottled water if you are not used to water different to that of your country.
HEALTH:
Santiago has excellent clinics and hospitals with all medical specialties. The hotel has medical and first aid services, as well as the option to evacuate guests aboard a helicopter if required, depending on the weather conditions.

Reservation Policies
Deposit
We require a guarantee deposit of 50% of the total value of
your stay when the reservation is confirmed. The balance
should be paid 30 days before the date of arrival.
Reservations that do not fulfill these requirements could be
canceled.
Prices in dollars are informative. Bills for consumption at the hotel are presented in Chilean pesos at the official exchange rate. Prices may be subject to change. Our rates do not include the 19% Value Added Tax (known as IVA), however, guests who are not residents of Chile do not pay IVA if they pay their hotel account in dollars or with a dollar credit card.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be in writing.
If the reservation is canceled before 60 days prior to the reserved date of arrival the guarantee will be returned in full less a service charge equivalent to 10% of the value of the guarantee.
If the reservation is canceled more than 30 days but less than 60 days before the reserved date of arrival, the guarantee will be returned less 50% of the value of the guarantee.
If the reservation is canceled or postponed less than 30 days prior to the reserved date of arrival, the guarantee will not be refunded if the ski area is open.
Room and extras charges are non-refundable once a guest is at Portillo.
Road-Closed Policy
The road to Portillo is also the International Highway that links Santiago, Chile, with Mendoza, Argentina. The highway is maintained by the Chilean Ministry of Public Works, who is responsible for cleaning following snowstorms or other events. Portillo Ski Resort is not responsible for the condition of the road.
IMPORTANT: Guests who are unable to drive up to Portillo while the road is closed will be directly responsible for their accommodations and other expenses in Santiago or elsewhere. The nights that are not used at Portillo will be accredited to their accounts. Guests will be able to choose whether to transfer the credit to their extra services account (ski lessons, bar bills, etc.), use the credit toward a future reservation within the same season, or proceed for reimbursement through their respective agency.
IMPORTANT: Guests who are unable to descend from Portillo and must spend the night in the resort will be charged the full rate for their first night's accommodations. However, beginning the second night, a 50% discount is applied to the normal rate.
