SPANISH VERSION

In the lake region of the south of Chile, only a thousand km away from the Capital, Santiago, you will find stony-bedded rivers containing submerged logs and many cold, transparent lakes.
In the surroundings of the beautiful Lake Llanquihue and at the foot of the imposing Osorno Volcano, fishing enthusiasts have many different options thanks to the great number of watercourses in the region. There are large specimens of salmon such as King Salmon or Chinook, the Coho Salmon and Rainbow Trout. Ten kilometers from Las Cascadas there is a bridge crossing the Coihueco river and another over the Puelo river. This is the ideal place to fish trout. A little further south, six kilometers from Ensenada, lies the Petrohue river, world-famous for the size of its giant salmon.
Normally November is the month the fishing season begins in Chile. On Lake Llanquihue, due to its great population of trout and resident salmon, the season starts in September.
