Museum Fernando Cordero Rusque
Exhibits the
Tierra del Fuego colonization process,
specially featuring the archaeological and anthropological items,
notably the mummified corpse of an ancient inhabitant of the island.
It also has exhibitions on the discovery and exploitation of gold
in the Sierra Boqueron rivers in 1881, the beginnings of Chilean
cinematography with documentary films of El Porvenir dating back
to before 1910; an interesting exhibit of photography and a natural
history section.
