Montt you invariably wake to find a picture-postcard scene
facing you through the window, because here beauty is everywhere
and in every direction.
Calama is the largest city built in the most extensive oasis of northern Chile and is known for being a miner’s city and the entrance door to the Atacama Desert. The main destinations to visit are the Valley of The Moon, the Salar de Atacama (salt lakes), Toconao, etc.
The fascinating presence of monumental stone sculptures called Moai and the paradise beaches define in a few words "Te Pito o Te Huna" (The navel of the world). A marvelous, mysterious and unique destination in the middle of the Ocean.
Chiloe's islanders praise God with devotion, sure
of their good luck. They pray in all the 150 churches built with
great dedication by the Franciscan order, many of which belong to
the National Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a distinction they received
from the UNESCO.
The first to appear on the ocean surface was Robinson Crusoe
Island. Thousands of years after it, emerged the others.
The only witnesses to the event are craggy rocks marked by deep
grooves, mountain ranges, spiky peaks and cliffs with vertical grooves
showing the fury of their geological birth process.
